In September, Politico announced it would expand through partnership by creating a European version of its political news site.
Folio is reporting on the latest moves from Politico. “The group has acquired European Voice, a website and weekly newspaper based in Brussels, and intends to relaunch the title in the spring with a new name: Politico. Terms weren’t disclosed.”
Incorporated into this launch includes product offerings of a website, a weekly newspaper, live events and “a European version of subscription service, Politico Pro. The latter product, priced at $7,500, generates a third of the company’s revenues, according to a report by The Financial Times.”
John F. Harris, the editor-in-chief and co-founder of Politico, says that the goal of Politico’s expansion into Europe is clear — “to be Europe’s leading publication on politics and policy”
