Condé Nast, Wenner Media, and Hearst Magazines lead the pack in participating in Samsung and Adobe’s Papergarden, a new digital marketplace set to debut on the Galaxy Tab S at the end of June.
Talking New Media reports that the launch is timed to Samsung’s release of a new line of tablets with drastically improved optics. In addition, there will be subscription giveaways for Samsung customers to publications utilizing the new newsstand.
“With this partnership, we were able to create this new service which really does a great job of tying content discovery, preview, and purchase of content, in a single experience,” Adobe’s Lynly Schambers told Talking New Media. “And because they are using the Adobe native Android viewer, readers, once they purchase the publication, can have this highly engaging experience because the native Android viewer supports interactivity, audio, video, etc.”
