When major publishers like Meredith realize that a majority of website traffic is coming via mobile devices, a change is coming.
Meredith has relaunched FitnessMagazine.com with a brand new design to fits its audience better.
“The new site is tailored to their users’ media consumption habits and advertiser objectives. It features a responsive design that’s fully optimized for users across devices and screen sizes.”
Meredith decided to start focusing more on adaptive website design and relaunching sites that appeal to millennials, who actively access websites on mobile devices.
Of course, this wasn’t the only element that was a focus in the site redesign. “Creating better opportunities for content discovery, and better aligning content consumption with advertising were also significant factors.”
It seems that more Meredith brands will receive a website redesign, and the process is starting with those that appeal to millennials and attracted a lot of mobile traffic.
