Email correspondence is an important part of your audience pyramid. It resides in the second tier – referred to as Subscribers – right above website visitors.
The Visitor tier accounts for your website traffic and is comprised of the largest volume of people. Many of these visitors will wander onto your site, leave and never come back. Those who stay, visit a few pages and enjoy your content will likely convert into subscribers.
These people reach the Subscribers tier. They like your content enough to receive it via email or a social network. Most of them had interest in your free downloads and decided to subscribe to receive the valuable content.
Those who buy your products move onto the third tier – referred to as the Buyers tier. These individuals want your premium products through a desired platform and are willing to pay for it.
The highest tier is for Participants. These people love your information so much that they are willing to spend top dollar to interact with you in-person. For B2B organizations, these events are typically in-person consultation or educational training events.
