The Baffler, a non-profit magazine published by MIT Press that covers art and criticism, has taken to digital after existing solely as a print publication for many years.

The new website, which runs on the WordPress platform, also utilizes the digital publishing platform Issuu, which allows uses to flip through website content as if it were a magazine.

Think the new website will be a hit with fans and newcomers alike? Since John Summers, editor-in-chief of The Baffler, decided to offer all of the brand’s archives for free on the website, it seems that interest can be easily found with The Baffler.

Offering up over two dozens issues for free — consisting of over 1.3 million words in total — could mean a much larger audience for the magazine.

As for new content, there is a metered paywall where “non-subscribers can read five free articles before it kicks in,” reports Nieman Journalism Lab.
