After just a year in existence, Atlantic Media’s Defense One will expand on both the business and editorial sides in response to its more than 600,000 unique visitors per month, 63,000 subscribers, and 22 ad clients.
Folio: reports that the b2b publication, part of Atlantic’s National Journal Group, will add 11 more staffers. The move comes on the heels of another Atlantic property – Quartz – making 20 new hires.
Life is good at Atlantic, Michael Rondon writes, as revenues from ads, newsstand sales, and events were up at least 25% during the first half of 2014.
“This investment in Defense One reflects the incredible success the brand has had in just one year and will expand the ways in which we advance the national conversation around the future of defense and national security,” Atlantic said in a statement.
