This contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to become the editor for iNET Interactive’s affiliate marketing community, ABestWeb.com. As Editor, you are responsible for creating and building a pipeline from user-generated and editorial content to ensure the property remains the premier destination for the affiliate marketing community.
Responsibilities:
• Editorial Direction and Content Production
• Responsible for building and maintaining a robust content pipeline of user-generated and editorial content
• Choose content topics to stimulate industry conversation and debate, grow new and existing audiences and increase social sharing
• Recruit, coordinate, and manage qualified (expert; influential) content contributors
• Feature, promote, highlight, and reward user-generated content
• When relevant, write industry news/analysis pieces
Brand Building and Leadership
• Build a brand following through relevant and timely content and engagement
• Build relationships and continuously network with industry thought leaders
• Participate (or coordinate participation in) social media and industry events
• Assist Product in creating informational products
• Deeply understand the needs and content preferences of the target audience
Required experience and knowledge:
• 4 to 5 years experience as a blogger associate editor, contributing editor or editor; online community experience preferred
• Bachelors degree in journalism preferred
• Proven team-based leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to recruit, manage and nurture freelance contributors
• Impeccable organizational and communication skills
• An impressive roster of existing relationships in the affiliate industry is preferred
• Experience with social media channels
• Charisma and confidence with building relationships and networking
