The MPA’s new edition of the Magazine Media 360° Brand Audience Report came out recently, and Talking New Media is reporting on the story.
“The report shows, the association said, a 10.6 percent year-over-year increase for magazine media content across platforms.” This is some positive news for the magazine industry.
The report was created with survey data from a variety of sources, like GfK MRI Survey of American Consumer, comScore Media Metrix and Nielsen NetView.
The article from Talking New Media includes a snapshot of the top 10 magazine brands in five different categories: print + digital editions, web (desktop/laptop), mobile web, video, and total 360°. Star was the top magazine brand in percentage of mobile web growth and percentage of web growth.
Mary Berner, the president and CEO of MPA commented on the value of this new report. “The Magazine Media 360° data is also proof positive that the industry’s unique strategy to offer platform-specific content that gives consumers enhanced – and expanded – experiences is not only resonating, it is growing our audience.”
