Point of purchase, social media, and physical products can help you build your email marketing list
With your brand and products listed throughout the Internet, audience members may not be introduced to you through your website. Even if they are, they may avoid signing up for your email newsletter from the start, opting to close your floater or OFIE (order form in editorial) and continue reading your content.
Conversion architecture can become daunting to online users, especially since more websites are using it to develop email marketing files. Since publishers need contact information for future correspondence, sometimes they need to look beyond the their current strategies of inline text ads, OFIEs, OFINS, floaters, and rapid conversion landing pages.
The following suggestions for building an email marketing list shows some of the techniques marketers are using.

Three ways to build your email marketing list
Online checkout: Do new users find your products and attempt a purchase even if they aren’t registered members? I’ve done this before and in a few instances I was required to registered before I could complete my transaction. Each time I abandoned the checkout process because it was frustrating.
Companies can avoid this problem by allowing opt-in during the online checkout process. The company can collect the relevant purchase information and then have the option to sign up for the aligned email newsletter. This way the purchase can go through with both buyer and seller experiencing the desired outcome.
Social media: There are three ways you can use popular social networks to build your email marketing list. First, you can include an email sign-up sheet on your Facebook page. Make it clear and noticeable. Next, you can tweet about the benefits your email newsletter subscribers receive by getting daily updates. Finally, you can include a link to sign up for your email newsletter in your LinkedIn profile.
In-store option: For brands with a physical presence in stores, QR codes can be used to quickly send interested people to your website where they can sign up for email updates. The understanding and acceptance of QR codes has been growing, so this option may be more relevant than it was six months ago.
